Placement Policy
TLC Ranch has a very stringent policy for placing pups. It is not meant to offend anyone or put anyone off. Once a pup leaves our home, we no longer have any say on how it
is raised or what kind of conditions in which it lives. Therefore, we do as much as we can prior to the sale of the pup to determine if a potential buyer will provide a good home for our pup, if a potential
buyer will make a commitment to love and care for the pup for its entire life, and if a potential buyer is dedicated to maintaining the health of the dog.
We do not place any pup with anyone who does not take the time to complete the attached questionnaire. Completing the questionnaire does not guarantee a pup, but it does give us
a starting point to determine if a buyer has the kind of home and passion for dogs that we look for. Submitting the questionnaire is the first step in becoming an owner of one of our pups.
We place very few dogs in breeding homes, and usually only with established, reputable breeders. The chance of careless or negligent breeding is very high, and we don't wish our
pups to be part of a casual breeding. Our belief is that the only reason to breed any dog is for the betterment and improvement of the breed. Therefore, we request that our dogs be spayed or neutered by
six months of age unless specifically sold to a qualified breeder.
We hope that our policy does not offend anyone. We are only trying to do the best for our puppies that we are able to do, and we have therefore set up guidelines for us to
follow. If you are seriously interested in knowing more about our pups and possibly owing one, please complete the following questionnaire.

Sale & Deposit Contract
This agreement is made and entered on this ____ day of __________, 2002 by and between _________
____________________________________________________(hereafter "seller") and ______________
____________________________________________________(hereafter "buyer"), for the purpose of setting forth the terms and conditions of the purchase of
a purebred Miniature Australian Shepherd from the litter whelped on ____________________________________________________, out of
Willow Rock's Reba Mac (Dam) and by Sidekick's Montana Bound (Sire).
1. The seller warrants that the above described puppy/dog is a purebred male/female Miniature Australian Shepherd with the North American Miniature
Australian Shepherd Club of the USA, (NAMASCUSA), and that the registration papers (__ have/__ have not) been provided to the buyer(s) as of the date of the completed purchase.
2. Ownership of the puppy/dog will be transferred to the buyer for the sale price of $___________ Less $100.00 (Deposit). DUE IN FULL (upon receipt of the puppy/dog).
3. Seller warrants that the above-described puppy/dog is in good health at the time buyer assumes ownership. Buyer agrees to have puppy/dog examined by a licensed
veterinarian within (2) days, not including weekends and holidays, of receipt of puppy/dog.
If as a result of the examination, the veterinarian determines that the puppy/dog is not in good health, the buyer can elect to keep said puppy/dog or return the puppy/dog to the
seller for a refund. If the buyer elects to return the puppy/dog the buyer shall, within 10 days after the date of signing this contract, send to the seller by certified mail a written veterinarian's
certificate stating that the puppy/dog was in ill health when examined.
Upon receipt by seller of said certificate, buyer shall be obligated to return the puppy/dog to the seller at buyer's expense. Upon receipt of the puppy/dog, the seller
shall be obligated to refund all monies received from the buyer toward the purchase price of the puppy/dog, and further performance under this contract shall be null and void. All action taken to return the
puppy/dog shall be done with the best interest of the puppy/dog in mind.
4. Seller warrants that this puppy/dog is progeny of animals clear of eye defects and hip dysplasia. If said puppy/dog develops eye defects or hip dysplasia within 12 months
from the date of birth, the buyer may return the puppy/dog to the seller and will receive a replacement puppy/dog of like quality from the next available litter. If buyer chooses a replacement puppy/dog, buyer
and seller shall make prompt arrangements within 10 days of receipt of certified letter and veterinarian certification for return of the puppy/dog to the seller's place of business. Buyer shall be responsible
for taking good and responsible care of the puppy/dog until it is returned to the seller. All costs for returning the puppy/dog to the seller shall be at the buyer's obligation.
5. If buyer requests delivery by airfreight, buyer is solely responsible for all costs (prepaid), including veterinarian certification, shipping crate, airport delivery, insurance
and freight costs.
6. Puppy/dog will carry the sellers kennel registered name. Litter applications and individual registration applications will be submitted to (NAMASCUSA) with required
parentage hip and eye certifications by the seller. Seller will forward all registry information to the buyer from the North American Miniature Australian Shepherd Club of the USA.
7. The buyer agrees this puppy/dog will not be used for breeding and shall be spayed/neutered unless buyer has been screened as a qualified breeder. Upon receipt of a
veterinarian spay/neuter certificate to the seller, seller agrees to reimburse buyer $25. ONCE THIS DOG, is used for breeding, all guarantees are null and void.
8. Buyer agrees that he/she is not acting as an agent in the purchase of this puppy/dog and that the buyer will not resell this puppy/dog to any pet store, guard dog business or
research facility.
9. Buyer agrees that the puppy/dog will reside at the home of the buyer, and will take proper care of the animal to insure its health and welfare, including proper diet, shelter,
regular grooming, exercise, and routine vaccinations and deworming. Buyer further agrees to never let the puppy/dog roam free and out of immediate control nor ride unattended/unsecured in an open vehicle.
10. Buyer agrees to routine training/socialization, which includes completing at least one basic obedience-training course with puppy/dog. Upon completion certification
presented to the seller, seller agrees to reimburse buyer $25.
11. Buyer expressly understands that if the puppy/dog must ever change ownership during its lifetime, it will be with the knowledge of the seller and in the best interest of the
dog. The seller shall always have the first option to buy the animal back at fair market value to be determined by age, temperament, training, and condition. If buyer becomes dissatisfied with the dog for
any reasons, it is understood that the seller will be notified of the problem(s) discussed and worked out either by resolving the problem or returning the dog.

This agreement is made and signed by both parties to insure the well being and protection of this puppy/dog. If the buyer breaches any part of this agreement the seller is
released from further obligations under this agreement and can and will repossess the puppy/dog.
